Fishing in Land O' Lakes!

It is getting hotter...

November 13, 2016 ·

The fishing I mean. After a rollercoaster week of warm temps and rising water temps things are cooling off again, water has dropped back down mid 40’s and it should keep falling from there.

Muskie: Suckers are turning into the bait of choice for fish and anglers alike. Someone should also be throwing a jerkbait or a big crankbait in addition to the sucker.

Northern Pike: These fish seem to nonexistent this past week.

Walleye: This week we found them in the deep holes and still on some deep rock humps. Jig and large minnow combos and lindy rigging with large red tail chubs seem to work the best.

Bass: Same as pike

Panfish: Bluegills are being found on the deepest weed edges. Crappies are starting to be found suspended over mud flats setting up for their winter season. Perch are being caught on the mud flats also using small minnows.

Happy fishing!  Selective harvest is the way to go.  Colin Crawford's Guide Service, crawfordfishing@gmail.com (715)891-2715.  Website is www.crawfordfishing.com or you can also find Phelps Outdoors on Facebook.
